About me

Mohammad Rahmati

I’m Mohammad Rahmati, a graduated Master of Science in Structural Engineering in 2019 with a GPA of 4/4. I focused on “Seismic Assessment of Irregular Reinforced Concrete Buildings under earthquake” during my thesis. I have published my research findings in three international conference papers, and a manuscript is currently under review in the Journal of Structures.

Current research activity

Aside from my thesis topic, I am interested in structural health monitoring (SHM), especially when combined with machine learning (ML) techniques. My study on SHM resulted in the publishing of a conference paper concerning the SHM of Bridge and a manuscript with the issue of SHM merge in ML currently being revised in the Journal of Heliyon.

In addition to the two main areas above, my research interests encompass:

  • Structural Health Monitoring
  • Machine Learning
  • Seismic Assessment of Reinforced Concrete Structures
  • Resilience of Infrastructure
  • Steel and Composite Structures
  • Advanced Materials in Structures

Work experience background

In parallel to my research activity, I have worked in different positions since 2011, including those of project engineer, design coordinator, superintendent, construction manager, and program manager in Commercial, Industrial, and Residential Construction. Also, I have been registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Guilan province and have been licensed to work in the field of Supervision & Implementation & Construction since 2015.
